The hangar comprises of 4,626sqm of shop floor and can accommodate a Boeing B777-200 and/or Airbus A330/A340 or two Boeing B737s and/or Airbus A32Fs wingtip-to-wingtip. The facility is equipped with the latest and most technologically advanced hardware. Since it opened in 2018, the hangar has been offering services for both line and base maintenance. AMACAerospace holds an EASA Part-145 Approval Certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency.The certificate allows the company in Milas- Bodrum to perform line maintenance on Airbus A318,A319,A320 and A321; Boeing B777-200 and B777-300, as well as line and base maintenance on Boeing from B737-300 to B737-900. In 2021, Bodrum’s technicians completed nine heavy checks on the aircrafts of two key customers,Tailwind and Kuwait Airlines, and re-delivered a variety of other commercial airliners on time.The facility continues to be a hub of activities. In the first four months of this year, two A320 aircrafts underwent a six-year inspection in the hangar, while a B737-400 aircraft was being serviced simultaneously. “In the past two years during the pandemic, we completed all projects as planned and returned them to the customers on time,” saysTarek Muhiddin, General Manager, Bodrum/COOAMAC Aerospace. “This coming summer season, we are looking forward to supporting our VIP customers.”
