Jetgala - FALL-WINTER 2022

People who fly on a business jet still go through immigration and security, Moore pointed out. They still meet the pilot and cabin crew as well as a person on the ground who escort them through the terminal. Moreover, business jet passengers often use a private jet terminal instead of a commercial aviation terminal. With social distancing advised and preferred, waiting in a private jet terminal or an exclusive section of a commercial terminal before proceeding to the aircraft is ideal. VistaJet has also introduced a heightened level of aircraft cleaning after each flight. They work with international partners for the latest information on travel advisories. “Our operation runs 24/7 so we need to stay up to date every hour with the latest information. We have to respond to travel advisories very quickly and that means having an operation that is very flexible and nimble.” Adding Extra Miles “We have created a seamless process from when you arrive at the terminal to when you board the aircraft,” said Moore. “We generally organize ground transportation for our clients unless they are travelling from their home.We utilize chauffeurs and cars around the world and see that all the sanitary checks are done. That means vetting our ground operators.” In 2020, as the pandemic raged, people had already been stuck at home for long periods and were missing travel, Moore recounted. “It meant when they did travel with family, they wanted to avoid heavily populated areas and instead go to places where they felt safer. VistaJet developed some partnerships with travel companies as well as hotel and resort operators where they worked to stimulate demand by providing a more seamless service. One example, Moore pointed out, is Kisawa Sanctuary, a resort on an island off the coast of Africa. “The place allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of cities.Travel is no longer about going to the most popular places, but creating unique experiences.” Strong Ground Support Standard cleaning procedures have been amplified, confirmed Moore.AllVistaJet aircrafts are being cleaned with the long- term surface disinfectant after each flight. This said product uses a semi-permanent nano layer of silica to release anti- pathogen agents that act against infection over an extended period. Not only is the product effective against bacteria, it is also active against a wide range of pathogens, including viruses, bacteria and fungi. A full sanitization cycle by an approved agency is implemented across allVistaJet aircraft, with further cleaning and treatment carried out as requested by crew. “COVID was a big driver for quality”, Moore concludes. “Business jet operators around the world were really put to the test. In terms of international operators, customers really scrutinized and asked, ‘How much experience do you really have to locations?’ “Flying to Paris once doesn’t make you are a Parisian. The fact that we are flying to destinations constantly means we have a strong network of people on the ground to help.”
