103 Maxalto Textiles Maison&Objet sees the launch of a new range of fabrics that expands on the line born in 2020. The new materials respond to the desire to give further refinement to upholstered furniture, with particular decoration and finishes Lilum (right) Lilum brings conviviality and intimacy to spaces alongside more formal sofas. The only sofa in the range with a direct seating frame, it comes in various compact shapes resulting from mixed construction techniques.The backrest is moulded using in-house technology for precise profiles; the base is constructed with multilayer glued laminated wood, without nails or glue.The contour-defining aluminium profile comes in various finishes.The accentuated edge separating the base from the seating is reminiscent of traditional handcrafted sofas. Cleide e Despina (left) This re-edition of two chairs designed by Antonio Citterio for Maxalto many years ago is updated withy new materials, production technique and sizes for today’s evolved rooms. Both have frames in grey, brushed light and brushed black oak variants.The seats are covered in fabric or leather. Loto (above) Loto, the oriental-inspired small/night and the marked tactile consistency of the velvet, jacquard and bouclé. The colour palette remains marked by neutral and warm tones dear to Maxalto, but also sees the introduction of new beige, ecru, camel and tobacco nuances, with a touch of black. The new textile range also includes plaids, bed runners and decorative pillows, all branded Maxalto and made with techniques that ensure maximum softness. The plaids are in merino wool and virgin wool; the coordinated bed runners and pillows are in cashmere blend. tables, is taller and designed to accompany a high mattress.The latest addition retains the distinctive feature of the curved staves that lighten the frame. Combined with a tray that fits perfectly on the table top, it is ideal for serving breakfast in bed or a cocktail on the sofa.
