29 JOURNEY THROUGH JAVA WITHAMAN Aman is offering a luxury train voyage through Java toAmanjiwo in partnership with luxury rail operators, PT KeretaApi Pariwista, on selected dates throughout 2023. Dedicated carriages will take guests across Java from the Jakarta Gambir station after a welcome refreshment in the station’s exclusive lounge. Breakfast and lunch are served on board. Along the way, PatrickVanhoebrouck, Amanjiwo’s resident anthropologist, will share the region’s historic and cultural highlights. Champagne will be served with afternoon tea before reachingYogyakarta Tugu station where a 60- minute private transfer to Amanjiwo awaits. The three-night experience will allow guests to immerse themselves fully in Amanjiwo’s sacred roots before continuing their journey through Java. Just two- kilometres away is the temple of Borobudur – a 9th-century marvel with 504 Iife-size Buddha statues. Throughout their stay at Amanjiwo, each guest will receive daily breakfast and one special Amanjiwo experience – from a traditional Makan Malam degustation dinner at the grand colonial restaurant, a private Aman picnic on the banks of the Progo river or enjoy sunset martinis overlooking dramatic vistas of the Menorah Hills.  On the final morning, a private transfer departs toYogyakartaTugu station.  The journey includes a return train journey from Jakarta Gambir toYogyakarta Tugu station inclusive of breakfast, Iunch and afternoon tea and alcoholic beverages alongside a three-night stay at Amanjiwo with daily breakfast, private return transfers and one culinary experience included.
