57 Ad r i f t o n t h e wa t e r s o f e x qu i s i t e b e au t y S S A I L A ROYAL TRIBUTE Boucheron pays tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II in a 2023 High Jewellery collection,‘Histoire De Style, Like a Queen’. Claire Choisne, Boucheron’s Creative Director, reimagined an iconic brooch from the Maison’s archives— one with the same design as the piece given to then Princess Elizabeth on her 18th birthday. When Princess Elizabeth turned eighteen in 1944, she received a Boucheron aquamarine and diamond double clip brooch, which Prince George, Duke of Kent, purchased from the Boucheron boutique in London in 1937. Choisne conceived 18 different interpretations of the brooch to build the entire collection, bringing a new perspective to the Art Deco design with unique colour schemes and ways to wear the pieces.
